What is Phrase Loop?
Phrase Loop is a mobile app for audio immersion in Mandarin. You listen to native sentences on a loop, read along word by word, repeat them out loud and review them with spaced repetition, so your ears learn to tell words and tones apart.
Which sentences are included?
606 essential sentences in 25 everyday categories, plus HSK 1–6 example sentences at three difficulty levels, HSK stories and sentence-pattern examples. You can also add your own sentences.
Is Phrase Loop free?
Yes. Study, Audio Immersion, Read Along, Listen & Repeat and playlists are free. Phrase Loop Pro lets you keep listening with the screen off or the app in the background, download all audio for offline use, and add up to 100 of your own sentences a month.
Which languages are supported?
Pick any two of Chinese, English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Polish, Russian, Hungarian, Vietnamese, Thai and Japanese: one you speak, one you learn. Chinese, English and German are fully reviewed; the others are marked experimental.
What is the difference between Phrase Loop and TingTing?
听听 (TingTing) trains single words and tones with pitch feedback and tone drills. Phrase Loop trains your ear for whole sentences through listening. They work well together.
